Will you DIY or
hire a painter?

Concerning painting-interior-walls - the ebook I bought about building your own free house (CLICK HERE to learn more) suggested that all you can save by doing the painting yourself is about $2,000, and for the work required, it isn't worth it to DIY it.

Well, RL thought it wouldn't be that hard, and he could do it himself, so we didn't even get a bid from a finish carpenter or a painter. What I forgot, was that RL is a perfectionist, and what we didn't know was that RL's heart was giving out on him.

By hiring a painter probably much less paint would have been used, and it would have taken much less time to paint the house. Long story short, by the time we bought all the paint, spray painted way more than was necessary in paint, and bought the painting equipment, spray gun etc., it probably wasn't even $2,000 in savings.
